A very limited run is being made for a newly designed, relaxed look Virginian Railway hat. This is the style of cap; two colors – brim is charcoal while the crown is sand color. Fabric: 100% cotton twill; Structure: Unstructured; Profile: Low; Panels: 6; Closure: Adjustable leather strap; Size: OSFM; Extras: Pigment dyed and garment washed, antique brass buckle with tuck-in grommet, contrasting color button and visor; fabric sweatband with four rows of stitching, matching sewn eyelets, pre-curved bill.
The embroidered logo design is a slight variation of the design the Virginian railroad used on the front of their electric locomotives (class EL-2B) built by GE in 1948.
Aubrey Wiley (VgnRy43@aol.com) is organizing this project and your order needs to be placed by September 14 (Monday). Delivery will be around October 1.
Cost is $15.00. It mailing is needed, add $3.00.
The inspiration for the Virginian hat came from this hat offered by the C&O Historical Society. The Virginian hat will come from the same vendor and be the same style shape and fabric, but in two colors.
